Course Description Recommended Prior Learning Learners would be expected to have a sound skills base from Level 1 English, especially in writing.
English is a study of oral, written and visual language in English, based on the New Zealand Curriculum. As an academic discipline in Secondary School, English requires critical thinking. It is the study of deeper meaning within and beyond texts, and the way that language and connections between texts are used to create that meaning.
