Level 2 Photography
Course Description
This course aims to strengthen students knowledge of the creative process and the role of experimentation and development of ideas in Photography. Students will learn how to achieve practical photographic techniques and conventions in their work. They will also study the ideas and practices behind the work of traditional and contemporary photographers. Alongside these objectives, students will develop the skills and knowledge required to meet the specific achievement criteria of NCEA Level 2 Photography.
In this course you will:
Develop practical photography skills and understanding of the conventions of photography. These conventions include the rule of thirds, depth of field, shutter speed, filters, tone and many more.
Be free to choose the subject matter you photograph and the ideas that you base your work around.
Develop the ways you can communicate your ideas visually, through the medium of Photography.
Learn about established photographers ideas, influences and methods.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Access at home and school to a suitable DSLR camera.
