Level 2 Chinese and Chinese Studies
This course integrates the core strands of language knowledge, communication, and cultural knowledge. This course consolidates topics studied previously. Students should be able to understand more complex language and communicate on areas of both immediate relevance and beyond. The students will also understand and produce a variety of text types.
Topics that will be covered are:
1. Culture and festivals
2. School and education
3. Part-time job
4. Promoting New Zealand Chinese Language Week activities
5. Future plan
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
School and/or personal computers will need to be able to produce text in Chinese
Recommended Prior Learning
NCEA Chinese Level 1 or equivalent
Total Credits Available: 19 credits.
Externally Assessed Credits: 10 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 9 credits.
